It's from 1984 so it's awesomer than George Orwell, and it has slightly more character. Lots of dings and scratches and whatnot - it's been played well and hard for the past 26 years. Still sounds great and plays even better. It would have been near the top of the Ibanez line when it was produced, and it has a brilliant warm, clear sound. Coil tap adds versatility, and I have used it for anything from reggae to heavy metal with no problems.
It's been set up recently by Ash, and had two of the tuning pegs replaced. I also replaced the bridge when I purchased it, and the electronics have been fixed and tidied up. The only damage is cosmetic, and the main area is the somewhat severe belt rash. But come on folks, what with this relicing craze, this could be worth a mint in a decade...
Comes with strap, straplocks and a hard case so, in the words of Darrell Kerrigan, it's a bargain! I'm selling because I temporarily need the cash, and want to be able to
shop around for a brand new bass when the time comes. It's still a damn
fine instrument, and it has seen me through more gigs than I can
remember!
